How do you provide 99.99 availability for a simple service?

You are asked to design a simple service :slight_smile: and provide 99.99 % availability. What would you do differently to provide 99.999%?

I am organizing a guest event to help everyone gain some practical understanding on how to design a 99.999% service. We have a guest speaker, an ex Microsoft who has maintained and managed multiple such tier-1 services.
